About the KLAC

Key Learning Autism Center (KLAC) is a new center opening in 2019 offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ABA is the most effective treatment for children diagnosed with autism.  ABA has over 30 years of proven research documenting its success and is recommended by the U.S. Surgeon General. Our center was designed specifically for providing children diagnosed with autism ABA therapy.  We have themed treatment rooms, a playroom and kitchen, ready to meet the needs of clients with varying skills and ages.  Treatment rooms are similar to a one-on-one classroom setting which allows for structured therapy. Children have access to many activities that they may not have at home which motivates them in the learning environment.   The benefits of center-based ABA therapy can help your child adapt to the routine of learning at a specific location.  This eliminates distractions in the home that may impede learning.  It also prepares your child for successful adjustment when they attend school.  The earlier therapy is started, the more intensive services can be provided to treat children diagnosed with autism. Children receiving the 25-40 hours a week of ABA therapy make real progress. Our center based services are for children ages 2-8. We will offer half day and full day programs from 2-5 days per week. Children attending both public school and the KLAC will receive a behavior intervention plan, if needed, for both environments.

The KLAC will have Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) with extensive experience working with children in need of early intervention services. They use a scientific approach to assess the child’s ability and behaviors to develop individualized strategies to teach the child new skills and improve behaviors.  ABA therapy services are either provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or supervised by one.  The BCBA's will directly supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) implementing one-on-one treatment programs.  We provide each child with evidence-based, individualized, behavior therapy services to achieve their full potential. ABA Therapy is used to develop communication, social skills, toilet training, feeding, daily living skills, academic curriculum and problem behavior reduction and replacement.  The BCBA and RBT works closely with the families, healthcare professionals and educators to transfer individualized strategies so the child will be successful at home, school and in their community.  Our ultimate goal is to maximize progress for your child and to ensure that therapy is effective.

Contact Us

To place your child on the waitlist you need a referral from their doctor that states their name, contact information, and diagnosis of autism from a licensed physician or licensed psychologist.

If you have health insurance you need an authorization for ABA therapy. Let your pediatrician or psychologist know you would like a prescription for ABA services. Once you contact the KLAC and your insurance company we will begin the process.

If the KLAC is not credentialed with your insurance, we can request a single case agreement from your insurance.
